JAN Z.

Calisthenics, Circuit training, Individual training

I am Jan Zdrubecký , but everyone calls me Coach . As the owner of Beat Up Gym and founder and CEO of Beat Up Calisthenics zs . I have been dedicated to calisthenics and fitness for a long time. Calisthenics and sports in general are not just a job for me, but a real passion.

My sports journey began at a sports high school and gradually led me to various certifications, including skiing, fitness and calisthenics instructor. In 2018, I opened my first gym focused on calisthenics, street workout and functional training, and in 2025 I opened a new Beat Up Gym , which meets all sports parameters - whether for indoor, outdoor or for the youngest athletes.

I have been involved in sports since I was young. In the years 2001-2008 I was a member of the Czech athletics team and became a multiple champion of the Czech Republic. I also had the opportunity to compete in splash diving and achieved several significant successes in street workout competitions, including winning the Czech Street Workout League. I am also the absolute winner of the Universal Czech test.

Outside of sports, I am passionate about surfing and traveling, which has brought me valuable experiences, including getting to know the "old school" of calisthenics , which I have learned in various corners of the world. Family is above all for me and their support motivates me to be better both at work and in my personal life.

In addition to coaching, I organize various sports events and projects, such as Street Workout Games and programs to promote healthy youth movement. My goal is to push the boundaries of physical possibilities, with an emphasis on proper technique and safety.

Calisthenics, circles

I teach people how to control their own bodies. The focus of my coaching practice is calisthenics. I myself like to hang on rings, work with kettlebells and test what my body can handle - from gymnastics to martial arts.

I rely on the principles of DNS and Spiraldymanik®, which give me a solid foundation for functional and healthy movement. I am also inspired by Frank Forencich's approach, which sees the body as an interconnected survival system, not just a muscular shell.

I speak Czech, English, Spanish and Portuguese. I have traveled to 63 countries, but Latin America, where I lived for two years, captivated me the most.

And when I'm not exercising? Japanese tea, a book and peace.

Circuit training

Movement is something I can't imagine my life without. For over ten years, I played competitive floorball, refereed matches, and in the winter taught children and adults how to enjoy skiing.

I am currently studying Regeneration and Nutrition in Sports at Masaryk University and in 2025 I received a fitness trainer certificate. Although I primarily focus on strength training, I try to combine more sports, because it is the diversity and complexity that I enjoy the most. Running, calisthenics, swimming, rollerblading or bouldering are a great way for me to maintain the joy of movement and constantly discover something new.

When I'm not working out, I'm backpacking for new adventures, places, great food, and coffee.

The best shape is not the one you see in the mirror, but the one that allows you to enjoy life to the fullest!

Calisthenics (beginners), Circuit training

I am a functional trainer with accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, I continue to actively engage in self-education and, above all, I have experience with how difficult it is to start. I know well what you experience as a beginner and what you need. My goal is to help you find strength and, above all, confidence.

I first encountered calisthenics in 2021 while searching for a new form of movement. Although my first class was tragic, I knew I had found what I needed. In many ways, I see it as similar to yoga. Unlike the machines in the gym, it is almost synonymous with presence and concentration. The body and mind work as one, in harmony with the breath. For me, training is not only about pushing my and your limits, but mainly about the joy of movement. I lead each lesson with respect for individual needs and leave room for growth at your own pace. I emphasize technique and perception of your own body.
